Potty Training A 3 Y.O. Boy with Autism?

Feels like one step forward and two steps backwards. Seems like we get on a good routine and then he holds it or goes in his underwear frequently and holds it on the toilet. Any tips? Suggestions?

Wait until he’s ready! Autistic or not, kids simply won’t use the bathroom before they’re ready. If you find it’s not working, he’s probably just not ready and I would give it some more time. Trying to force it too early (not implying that’s what you’re doing!) can actually delay the process :/

Wait until he’s truly ready! My son has autism, he’s 4 on Tuesday and he’s FINALLY started to wanna PT 😪 I’m just following his lead completely!🤗
