Happy but scared

I am trying my best not to worry but I have been having so much bleeding with this pregnancy. Sunday I was sure I lost my baby because I went from spotting (constantly since 12/24) to gushing bright red blood and passing clots, along with cramps and a backache. I went to the doctor on Monday and thankfully I measured at 6+5 and got to hear little beans heartbeat at 127bpm.

My Dr could not give me a definite answer as to why this is happening, she told me to take it easy until my next appt and not lift up my toddler and put me on pelvic rest. I am obviously so grateful that baby is okay and I got to see that for sure but I just don’t understand why this is happening. When I got home from the drs I passed the biggest clot yet but I tried to stay calm and remind myself that little bean is okay. I never had anything like this with my son..

Have any of you had an experience like this? How did your pregnancy progress? I read that once you are able to hear the heartbeat there is way less of a chance of miscarriage so I’m trying to stay hopeful.
