Insomnia and nightmares after MMC and D&C

I haven’t hardly been able to sleep since before Christmas when we found out our baby didn’t make it past 8 weeks 4 days when we were almost 12 weeks pregnant.

I had a D&C on Saturday January 2nd and the insomnia has gotten worse along with nightmares.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I barely slept maybe two hours last night and have yet to sleep tonight.

The pain I’m having post-op is nearly unbearable even with medication. The medication honestly doesn’t help with the pain much. I have a follow up with the dr in two weeks.

I don’t know what to do. I’m on the couch because my husband has to work early and I can’t sleep due to the pain and insomnia and if I do sleep at any point, I’m waking every half hour from nightmares of miscarriages or surgery.
