Allergic reaction or eczema?!

I’ve taken her in multiple times they just now put a referral in for a dermatologist idk when they will call though. She’s tried 3 different formulas and still spits up a lot. Her skin is so dry and peels constantly I keep her moisturized all the time! Fragrance free everything. And she gets this redness as you see in the photo. Skin feels a bit scaly too. I’m worried she’s allergic but they don’t want me switching her to a hypoallergenic kind. (She’s a 28 weeker premie) has anyone or anyone’s baby looked like this?! Unsure what group to put this in. I just need to feel a little better..

So I started Similac Alimentum hypoallergenic formula yesterday and so far her skin is actually improving! Her rash is nowhere nearly as bad and she don’t feel as scaly or peeling as much. Seems to be holding moisture longer too. She’s spitting up a ton more though! And she chokes on it! Is it just her belly trying to adjust to it or could it be that the formula is way too thin? We are getting smaller nipple size to see if that’ll help since she was on a thick formula before this one.  But her skin is looking better ❤️

Eczema in babies is often caused by a food allergy or intolerance so they are one and the same. Can you try breastfeeding or donor milk?

I have suffered from eczema my whole life and this looks a lot like it to me, but it’s a difficult problem to diagnose. I can’t tell you how many Drs/PAs/nurses have disagreed over what exactly I have. For me, it’s stress and dairy. I know that from learning over time. My worst flare up was during my first pregnancy. My face looked just like that. Looked like baby acne everywhere (I usually have no acne/redness) and it was so dry/peeling non stop. I was eating pure dairy at that point because it was all I could hold down while dealing with morning sickness. When I showed up at the dermatologist they couldn’t figure it out. I told them I had eczema a lot as a kid and periodically as an adult when I’m stressed and a topical steroid would likely be the fix. They were like ok. Sure enough, they put me on a mild topical steroid safe for pregnancy any that cleared it up almost immediately. Haven’t seen it since. It’s such a complex problem that it feels like the medical community isn’t clear on how to diagnose or treat it. It also just could be my experience but who knows? You may want to switch pediatricians... I’m a little surprised they won’t let you try a hypoallergenic type formula. My bet is that’s the problem.

Are you in the uk? 
My little girl had this from weeks old with her face coming up everytime she had a bottle of milk. And then would scream at every feed (and In between) we took her to A&E in the end because it was horrid watching her in so much pain. 
Turns out she can’t have dairy at all and has to have full dairy free milk. Even now at 17 months she’s still on that formula and can have dairy. Certain foods still cause her eczema to come up now. 
I definitely would keep pushing the doctors as this looks like a full allergy to me 😞

Also eczema is a form of allergic reaction. 
This was the start of my daughters reaction and would get worse everytime we fed her
