1 year old walking?

My daughter turned a year old on December 18th and isn't walking yet. She stands on her own and walks alongside furniture and while holding hands. Any tips for helping her get there or if I should be concered that she's not walking yet.

A lot of it is hereditary. Mine started around 9-10mos and runs now. But I started walking around 9mos and her dad at 10mos. Our PT said it’s normal for one year olds to also NOT walk. We are just way ahead on the walking situation. I wouldn’t rush it, once they start it’s over 😔😞😩😩😩😩😩🤣

Our daughter is 13 months today and still doesn’t walk on her own. She can pull herself up to stand and walk along furniture no problem. She also will walk just holding our hands. But she can’t stand unassisted yet and doesn’t walk on her own. Honestly I think it’s a bit of laziness and fear. The second I try to let go a little bit she just sits down. They’ll get there. Theres nothing wrong with them not walking yet at this age.

Don't be concerned, sounds like she's very close. This is normal. Anywhere from now on it can happen. It'll be quick too so just patience.

Get a balance walker. The old fashioned one with the globe filled with balls that pop when you move it, or something like that. Something she has to balance weight to move. Not the walkers that are supported by themselves.

My son is 13 months and is cruising along furniture but not walking independently yet. We did however have a set back a few days after he started to take his own steps, he got Transient Synovitis which left him mostly immobile for over two weeks and he ended up in a Children's hospital, so we had to start all over again. Yesterday he started getting brave, and letting go of the furniture and standing on his own for a few seconds, he was so proud of himself! 😂 My guy will get there, just as your little one too. My best friend's little guy didn't start walking until he was almost two.

My son will be a year on the 21st and I can’t get him to walk no matter what. He stands on his own for a few seconds and also walks a little while holding onto furniture but it’s like he gets bored of trying and moves on

My 13 month old isn’t walking yet but ever since he was 8 months he’s been standing up and walking while holding on to furniture. So we thought he would be an early walker but he still can’t walk alone :/
