Is it odd for them to do my c-section 5 days before my due date?

The earliest they can do it is 39 weeks. So depending on where your due date falls that's normal. My weeks start on Saturday so my csection is pushed to that Monday. I'll be 39 weeks 2 days

If you go into labor they will just do it that day. They set up new standards that don't allow scheduled csections before 39 weeks unless medically necessary( mom/baby in trouble)
