First at 37+?

Hi all, I'm new to the group🙂. Anyone here conceive their first baby, or know someone who has, over 37 and had a healthy baby?

Yup! I just had my first at 40. Conceived naturally. No complications. Perfectly healthy baby. The chances of birth defects go up from 1% to 2% in your late 30, so you still have a 98% chance of a healthy baby.

I did IVF due to male factor infertility and conceived my first baby at 38 (3 months away from 39). I gave birth last month at 39.  I had nipt test to check for abnormalities and everything was good. It is possible and you have a good chance at 37.  Good luck

Yes, I had my first at 40 - conceived naturally, no pregnancy complications, she was breech so I needed a c-section but that's not age related, and she's a healthy bundle of joy now. That said, I have had several miscarriages sadly.

Yes, My god mother was 39 and had a big healthy son..2 of my church member got married at 40 and 1 had her son at 42 who was healthy the other one at 45 baby was healthy,  My cousin who is 39 had a healthy baby girl,  A few of my clients had kids at 37-45 so hunni the age is okay, Do you know women in their 30/40 are likely to have twins 🥰🥰 I’m 37 I had an ectopic pregnancy in December so me and husband are TTC again now

I’m 36 and ttc #1 but know plenty of people who have fallen pregnant aged 36-41.
It hasn’t been an easy journey so far though...one miscarriage & one ectopic but at least conception is possible. Baby dust to all!

I had my first at 37 after fertility treatments and 2 miscarriages. She has a brain anomoly but it's not genetic related, just a fluke happening. She's a year old, meeting all milestones, and thriving. I'm 38 now and naturally pregnant with my second girl due in October.

My mom had my sister at 40.5 and my aunt had my cousin at 41.5 and both my sister and my cousin are healthy adult women in their 30s. I’m 36, just had my first MMC, and am also doing IVF so I’ll be 37 by the time my period regulates and I try again. I never thought of late thirties as old to have a kid until I started spending time on fertility websites! Most of my friends had their children after 35 or are just starting now so it seemed so normal to me.
