Working out glutes when still sore?
I recently got back into fitness and lifting and have been going to the gym again. I have about 5 pounds I wanna lose but I mostly want to tone up and gain muscle, especially in my butt lol. I haven't got my workout schedule completely down yet. 2 days ago I did legs/glutes and I went pretty heavy on my glutes. They weren't sore at first but yesterday and today they are.
So yesterday I just worked out upper body. I want to go to the gym today and I'm wondering if I could do glutes and legs again today even though they are still just a little bit sore. I got adequate sleep and lots of protein/healthy carbs to help my muscles recover. Should I do that today or will that only cause more damage? If not what other work out should be done today? Thank you!
