How many times a day should I pump ?

I pump 3 times a day. Is that ok or should I pump more ?

I’m exclusively pumping and LCs at the hospital recommended pumping 8 times a day to keep up supply and how often babies tend to eat

It depends on your reason for pumping. If that’s to feed baby, I’d say no but if it’s just extra, that’s good! I ebf and pump two tones. Once in the AM for my freezer and once in the PM because my 18 month old now wants breast milk again

My baby is almost 5 weeks and I’ve gotten away with pumping 4-5 times a day. I also supplement with formula twice a day. So far my supply hasn’t gone down But I imagine it will soon. Works for us, as I plan to stop breast milk at 8 weeks. If you plan on ebf for a while then you’re supposed to pump 8-10x a day I think 😬
