Am I the only mom not breast feeding?!

Question

So I didn’t breast feed with either of my other two children and they are just fine and very smart. I’ve been seeing so many moms breast feeding and just makes me curious what is the benefits or am I doing something wrong? I’ve heard about losing the baby weight but that isn’t a concern because I haven’t gained any this pregnancy and I’m big into fitness so I don’t see that being an issue once I deliver

Let’s not overlook the other critical part of the breastfeeding equation – mom! There are significant medical, emotional and financial reasons to breastfeed for moms, too..

Decreases breast cancer risk and may decrease the risk of ovarian and uterine cancer;12
Reduces the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes;13
Mothers show less postpartum depression. Breastfeeding triggers the release of oxytocin (the "love hormone") and prolactin, substances that help with relaxation and reduce stress;14
Burns extra calories, making it easier to lose weight after pregnancy;15
Helps your uterus return to its normal size and lessens bleeding you may experience after delivery;16
Saves valuable time! No need to purchase, measure or mix formula, and no bottles to warm in the middle of the night. Breastmilk is always perfectly mixed and the right temperature. Plus, you never forget to bring it with you!
Is free - at least the milk! Even if you are pumping, a good pump and accessories are far less expensive than formula. The average non-nursing mom spends over $3,000 a year on formula, while a good breast pump costs under $200; and
Is environmentally friendly, producing no waste, packaging or pollution.

I went into it with an open mind with my first son. I tried breastfeeding and it worked out for 10 months for us. I wasn’t opposed to formula either, and I supplemented at times when my supply was low. It’s hard, and I’m going to try again this time around but without any pressure on myself. It’s not for everyone, and while there are some benefits to breastfeeding, I think fed babies are the happiest and healthiest! Don’t let anyone tell you that one way is the “right” way!

First off you choose what’s right for you.
It does not mean your kids won’t be smart or healthy. & no one should make you feel less than for making any specific choice for your kids.
Second, there are a truck load of benefits that breastmilk provides that formula cannot.
One very big one & the most important to me in my attempt to breastfeed longer for this baby than my first, is the specific needs your baby has. Breastmilk is specific to what vitamins & nutrients your baby needs. The saliva goes into your body & your body in turn produces the right amount of nutrition the baby’s saliva says they need.
Where as formula has everything in it, & you give the baby a one size fits all type of nutrition. Sometimes baby might get more iron than they need, or more vitamin c etc etc. 
I don’t think your choice was a wrong choice.  My opinion of your post is that more women just need to be informed in order  to make the decisions they see fit for their children. The right amount of information on both options to understand what will work for you & your baby.

i was set on not breastfeeding since my mom and my MIL both didn’t do it and both my husband and i are tall and making six figures (they said BF helps with brain development and brain power later in life which i’m sure it’s true but not in our two families case lol). BUT I recently heard it’ll help lose weight and i’ve gained 30lbs this pregnancy so i WILL be bf for own benefit. until i can’t take it anymore cuz i heard it’s so painful and takes forever. but my OB and a bunch of my friends recommend BF as there are a lot of benefits it seems. i say you just do you, girl. you do whatever fits your schedule and your energy. to me, all moms are amazing. BF moms. formula moms. working moms. stay at home moms. you just do you and believe in your choices for yourself and for your baby. and shut down all the haters. some men or women are insecure and need to compare and put others down in order to feel better, just ignore them.

I’m in the same boat! this is my first child and It seems like a lot of pressure to breastfeed. I for one was going to try it but I’m really not up the challenge of maintaining it but also at the same time I don’t want to stress myself out over it because what if I don’t have a decent supply. I got a breast pump from insurance because it’s free and I will pump but I’m leaning more towards formula myself. 
After working in childcare for ten years I have seen maybe 12 kids on breast milk and the breast everyone else was formula fed and they turned out just fine 🤷🏾‍♀️

I am on baby number 6 and will not be breastfeeding. I didn't try with my fii was young and the nurse was so disrespectful that I just got turned off. Never thought about it again after that. So my 4 oldest children that are between 18yr and 11yr never were breastfed and they are absolutely fine two of which are honor roll students 1 of the 4 has gotten sick a few times in her 18yrs my children are very healthy. 
I have nothing against breastfed babies just stating that my 4 formula fed children are perfectly fine. 
I did decide to breastfeeding my 5th child because I was getting a long maternity leave and I was also 32 and more prepared to try. Well no one informed me that it would take longer for my milk to come in because of c-section nor that I would have contractions while doing so. I breastfed my son for 9 months and pumped in between I didn't make that much milk he was always hungry didn't sleep while and had gotten sick at 3 months 5 and months and really sick on and off for 2 months while he was 8 months. I did well the first 9 weeks I was determined to keep going despite wanting to stop despite not producing enough milk. I didn't want to fail. Whichever to  Postpartum depression. It was rough I cried alone and felt obligated to keep trying even though I hated it. I finally decided we would stop at 9 months so that I could heal mentally and physically which I did and my son continued with formula and he is completely fine. 
Currently on week 36 of last pregnancy and I wl not be breastfeeding again.
Sorry for long message but I wanted to share my experience honestly. I don't believe breastfeeding is for everyone and I don't believe formula fed babies aren't as healthy or educated. 
I truly believe that you have to do what is best for you, no matter what anyone says about breastfeeding or formula feeding DO WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR BABY!!
I felt the need to share since I have done both. My sister in law is currently pregnant with 1st child and my advise to her was do what whatever you want it's your body and your baby.

For me, breastfeeding was super convenient. I was very happy to be able to pull baby out of bassinet, put her on the boob and not have to get up to make a bottle. It also helped me bond (I had zero connection to my pregnancy or my newborn). My goal was to Bf for a year and I lasted 17 months. My goal is a year this time too but I know every baby is different and if it doesn’t work out, I’m totally open to formula.

I’m never breastfeeding again. I absolutely hate it. And my child is always sick. My formula fed never is, so there’s that. It definitely makes me not wanna breastfeed🤷🏻‍♀️

I tried with my first but ended up pumping and my milk supply sadly was crap so we did formula and I dont feel bad for formula feeding.... fed is best 🤷‍♀️ I was gonna try to breast feed this baby at least at home but I also have a toddler so I'm not sure how its gonna work it seems like its gonna be super stressful
