Is it him or me?

My husband and I haven't used protection in nearly 5 years. My periods are regular though I may have endometriosis. We aren't particularly trying for a baby rn but he definitely wants to get checked bc he thinks he's broken (he took a lot of beatings doing mma in the past) and he is in his late 20s I'm in my almost mid 20s and want to see what's up before it's too late just in case we do want kids soon. What would be our first step to getting checked?? We don't have a primary doctor and won't until his insurance kicks in a couple more months from now but there are ways around that with certain clinics I'd just prefer to have insurance lol. Any advice helps thanks in advance!
