Gender Reveal Party *REVEAL IDEAS?*

Pregnant with baby #2. Our daughter is almost 6, so gender parties were unheard of back then! Thanks to Pinterest, I'm dying to have one.

My husband & I are back and forth on wether we want to find out the gender, or just have the tech put it in an envelope and be just as surprised as our guests.

What I need help with -- I need ideas on the reveal. I don't want to do it with food. (No colored cake, etc.) But, other than just opening up the envelope at the party and having the answer in there, how could we do it without us knowing first? I know we could have someone else have the envelope and make something but I can't decide WHO I would want to know the gender before us!

😩 Struggling and driving myself insane over this!!! Please help! Any ideas are appreciated!

My brother in law was given the envelope and he went and bought the color silly string!  That's how we found out!!

Find a friend of family member who is good with a camer, don't want to miss this moment.  You wear a white shirt. You and partner (bith blind folded if you don't know yet)turn backs to family. Have photographer paint his hands with pink or blue. Have him place his hands like a heart over your bump. You place your hands on his. Remove blind folds and turn around and lift your hands! Cute announcement, great picture, and you have a cute new shirt!

I like the balloons or a two layer balloon with a pink or blue inside. I love the idea of finding out with your guests! (quick public service announcement - please dont release balloons outdoors!)

My friend took the envelope to a party store and had them fill a box with whatever color balloons (pink or blue, depending on what gender) Then at the party, they opened the box and the balloons flew out. So they were surprised with the guests. I saw an idea where you have someone fill a giant balloon with blue or pink glitter. (I bet a party store would do this too) and then at the party, you pop the balloon and see what color glitter flies out.

My sister in law had me look and fill up water guns with water tinted pink or blue (it was pink) but the water guns leaked in the bag.
She wore a white shirt and everyone shot her with the water to reveal.

I had a friend get a pinata and fill it with blue  confetti and streamers. Everyone took turn hitting the pinata until it opened. They were tricky too and had it set up so that they could control the movement of the pinata. Made it more difficult since everyone there were adults.

I've seen several couples do the big box full of balloons and have a photographer capture that moment of opening. Cute! I've also seen the colored silly string ones too. The whole party had bottles to spray.
