I read this as just going on a regular date, so I answered opposite sides. If we are with another couple, we sit next to each other and the other couple sits together across from us.

I’ve been on a double date with my fiancé’s friend and his wife and we sat next to each other. If it were a double date like in the beginning when still getting to know each other I’d probably do across. Now we’d do next to each other 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t really like sitting next to people I’m unfamiliar with lol. But I do think it’s weird to sit next to each other in a booth when it’s just the two of you.
