Peloton yay or nay?

I love indoor cycling and am looking at getting the peloton bike +. It’s an expensive purchase but I’m tempted to buy it. Anyone on here have one? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

All I can tell you is this....
Everyone who DOSENT have one will say that there is are better and less expensive options.
Everyone who HAS on will tell you its life changing and the best purchase they ever made.
Deduce from that what you will.

I have one. Love it. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. Yeah you can get a less expensive bike. You will miss out on some of the perks. But if that doesn’t matter to you, go with the cheaper one. I like keeping my metrics and competing against myself.  Storing my miles per month and lifetime and year. Plus the quality is great and it’s a sturdy bike. They did drop the price of the bike when the bike+ came out. But the membership is also more per month than just the app is. So you have to keep that in mind. It’s hard to tell someone what to do. You can get a good work out with anything you enjoy. I love spinning and I love the instructors. I took classes in a gym before covid. So I knew I loved it. Plus the other classes are great so it’s worth it for me. I made the decision when gyms were closed and needed to constantly work out again. Now I won’t go back to the gym. Best purchase for my needs. It keeps me motivated.

I have a similar bike but use the Pelaton app. I love the instructors and the music but not the price of the bike. I stay in shape just like I’m riding a $2,000.00 bike!

I looked into it, used one at a gym, and decided against spending the money on it. Instead I bought a sunny fitness bike and use an app called Aaptiv. Yes the peloton is nice, there are definite benefits to it but I personally thought the expense was not worth the reward when I could get the same results from a far cheaper bike.

I have one and I love it. With the bike itself you can see your resistance, cadence and output in the app you can’t see all that stuff. Peloton does have monthly payment options so it’s not a big settlement all at once.

I have a lot of friends that have purchased cheaper spin bikes and then they pay for the app. Saved them tons and they feel like they get the same experience. 
I’ve been looking at ProForm spin bikes and MyxFitness spin bikes. Cheaper than peloton but same concept. I just need the space!

My husband looked into one, but he got a trainer set up for his normal road bike instead - the reviews seem to depend on whether you're primarily an indoor exercise type or a cyclist just looking for an indoor option in crappy weather. The peloton seems not optimal for recreating road riding feel if you're a cyclist first, but we have a buddy who absolutely loves it as generic cardio exercise and highly recommend it. Sounds like it just depends on your goal.
