My doctor has not sent me for blood work to confirm my pregnancy they just scheduled me for a 8 week ultrasound to hear/check the baby's heartbeat. Is this normal & depend on the doctor?

Totally normal. On baby #3 and it's been that way. They usually just do ultrasound to confirm live pregnancy between 8-12 weeks
