Sweet Relief!
I have been exclusively breast feeding since baby was born. It has not been an easy journey at all (my second EBF baby). I have had mastitis 3x and pain during nursing and burning nipples after since he was born December 3rd. I asked the pediatrician if there could be a possible tongue tie (my other son was a preemie with tongue, lip, and cheek tie) and the pediatrician said he didn’t think so. I asked again at his one month and again he didn’t think that he had one but gave me a referral anyway. Well, I am happy to say the pediatric dentist confirmed a severe tongue and lip tie (worse than the last baby). He fixed it the same day and I just had my first pain free nursing session! I wanted to share to help any breastfeeding moms who are struggling. My OB told me it’s okay to throw in the towel and switch to formula, but I stuck it out and followed my momma gut. Listen your gut mommas and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself and baby.
