We haven’t yet but here is something interesting our doc told us at the 4 month checkup. She said there is emerging evidence coming out that starting cereal/gluten around 5-5.5months can help children avoid gluten issues/celiac later in life! I thought that was neat to hear. We plan to start sometime after 5 months :)

Nope it’s best to wait till 6 months to start food. Solids before then can really mess up their gut.

No we won't start any solids until about 6 months and actually skip the cereals and baby foods and basically go straight to mashed and pureed food that we eat as a family.

Yes we got the ok from our doctor at 4 months (2weeks ago) to help give her some extra calories bc she’s small. So we started giving her oatmeal made with breastmilk - she only gets about 1/2 a tablespoon of the powder oatmeal mixed with a little less than an ounce of milk once a day. She LOVES it! Don’t start anything without talking to the doctor first though
