cleft lip/pallet

So i’m due February 22nd, and me and my boyfriend have been worried about our little girl being born with a cleft lip due to the fact that his biological sister was born with one, and that raises the risk. I had an ultrasound in the beginning of december where they looked at her lips, is that something that they would have told me about or do they need a 3d ultrasound to know? The ultrasound tech showed me the images of her lips and didn’t mention anything, and when i brought it up to my OB during my follow up appointment she said that the tech didn’t mention anything to them either. obviously i’m going to love her regardless but is that something they would have been able to tell through the 2d ultrasound and tell me about earlier?
