Can you spoil a newborn?

I’m a FTM but have helped raised my 2 nieces and nephew! I’ve read online that it is imposible to spoil a newborn since that it how they communicate. My mom and my sister are on my back because I pick up my baby every time he cries. Should I just ignore them and do what’s best for my child?

You cannot spoil a newborn, at all.  Hold that baby and show them this (and tell them to stfu 🤣)

As a mom of 5 soon to be 6 kiddos you absolutely cannot spoil a newborn. I cannot believe they want you to let him cry. Newborns who are left to cry are only taught that their needs wont be answered. They literally dont understand the concept of crying to get their way. Sigh thats such an old way of thinking and they are wrong.

Umm tell them to go away. Cuddle and hold your baby, they need you. We attend to our baby anytime he cries, wouldn't change it for the world.

I get it all the time as well. I’ve always picked up my babies as soon as they cried. They napped on me or next to me. I rocked my 2 older kids to sleep till they were 2 and didn’t want to anymore. I baby wear and rarely put my babies down in the first few months lol. 
All of them hit their milestones way early, are smart and very independent. They all still love to snuggle but appreciate alone time as well.
