Glucose test on the sly

So, we moved to Norway over the summer for work and this is my first pregnancy outside of the US. So far things have been really easy overall, my midwife is great, and my GP speaks English well so it’s all good! I alternate between my GP and my midwife, at 28 weeks I saw my GP and he didn’t have me do a glucose test or anything, so I didn’t worry about it at all. I thought “maybe I don’t have to do it here”! Well I went to see my midwife yesterday and I’m 31 weeks and she’s like “where’s your glucose results!?”. DAMN.

I got got. So here I sit, at the lab waiting for them to call me back for it. Starving. Thirsty. Surrounded by grumpy Norwegians (they are like 97% grumpy, nice...but grumpy lol), my bubbly American self is generally scoffed at. 🤣
