Too early to be induced?

Question

Has anybody else been induced before 40 weeks ? My doctor wants to induce me at 39 weeks because I had blood pressure problems in the beginning but since 4 months pregnant I've been stable. I'm unsure if this is the right route but I'm also tired of being pregnant.

I was induced With my second just before 38w. Anything past 37w is full term, however unless it’s really medically necessary like baby or mom are in distress, they typically try to push it to 38w for most medical reasoning. At least where I am. 
I’d ask your dr why they think induction would be better if your levels are under control. Just making sure you have all the info you need to make a proper & informed decision

My baby had a birth defect so I wasn’t allowed to go past 38 weeks I got induced and had my baby at 37+3

I think it's a bit odd personally. I didn't have high blood pressure at all until I went into labor. They still just monitored me & only induced when it continued to rise. I ended up having to be put on magnesium sulfate, but delivered naturally. It just took a day of trying different medications afterwards that actually worked to lower my blood pressure & was able to be weaned off it a month later.

If it’s not medically necessary you have the right to decline an induction.
I was due to be induced at 39 weeks due to having a big boy on board, but he had other ideas and I went into labour naturally at 38+5, and still had to receive induction medication to help progress things along. I had no issues with it, apart from my son getting stuck due to his position and size- so I really should have been recommended for a csection but that’s irrelevant
