A friend of mine recommended peanut butter for my teething 11 month old. I’ve never heard of this before. Has anyone else tried it and does it work?

Peanut butter is actually considered a chocking hazard until 4 years. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for an 11 month old unless it was mixed into a yogurt popsicle or something (: no sure why peanut butter specifically would be better for teething than anything else tho

Breast milk popsicles always worked well for us. A little messy. I’d break up some frozen milk and put it in one of those silicone or mesh suckers you can put fruit in to mash on when they’re little. Maybe take their clothes off so they’re easier to clean after. You could used frozen or cold fruit as well, assuming baby’s older. My first had teeth come in at 4 months, so breast milk popsicles were our option. My second was never really bothered enough by teething that we needed to use them. Not sure what I’m the world peanut butter is supposed to do to help ... 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would call a pediatrician but I wouldn’t recommend it. Peanut butter is so sticky what if your baby can’t open their mouth and has a hard time swallowing?
