Make up exerts! Need some help!

I am an amateur when it comes to makeup. I have always used department store makeup but as I am getting older I want to step up my makeup game.

I made a recent trip to Ulta and bought some of the Urban Decay “Naked” foundation. I LOVE the durability. This make up lasts.... but I don’t care for how it settles into my face. It falls into my pours and amplifies them.

I use the wet sponge and dap it on... but it doesn’t help.

I use a MAC finishing powder on it which helps some of it look better.

Should I switch brands? And if so. Is there a foundation you absolutely love?!
