Thinking miscarriage

Jessica

I am roughly 5 weeks and started bleeding heavily like I am on my period with cramps this afternoon around noon. Doctors office wants me to get hcg done tomorrow to check levels and compare to last hcg I had last week. To me, with this constant bright red blood it’s an obvious miscarriage but the lady at doctors wouldn’t say until bloodwork. I’m not soaking a pad but definitely have spots on it. Every time I wipe the toilet paper has blood all over it. Wondering if anyone has ever had this happen and it not end up being a miscarriage. Also, any advice as to what the process of miscarriage looks like this early? I’m sure I’ll find out more tomorrow, but I’m just obviously dismayed. Thanks.

It could be a subchorionic hemorrhage if it is bright red with no clots. Wishing for the best for you ♥️

Thank you. Sadly my numbers dropped to below 3, so definitely was what I knew it was. Thank you for the well wishes.

I don't have a lot of advice but I'm sorry you're going through this! When I had a miscarriage I was 9 weeks and had bad cramps then sudden bleeding within a few hours. Doc tried to reassure that it doesnt mean miscarriage for sure, but I was passing clots and tissue and next day ultrasound confirmed it was a loss. But I know there are instances where baby is okay, you will have to wait and see. Thinking of you! ❤

Thank you. I woke up this morning and there’s no doubt that it’s happening. I appreciate your kind words.

I’ve had 3 miscarriages around the 5 week mark. All of mine consisted of bleeding and severe cramps (worse than normal). I also passed several clots of tissue.I hope this isn’t a miscarriage for you😔
