Why do people put their wedding ring on their pregnancy/ovulation test when they post it?

Honestly curious? I see it all the time. I thought it was only something people did for announcements but I see it on negative tests too. Can someone explain this?

People.claim.it helps their camera focus. But mine focuses perfectly well sans ring. So not sure.

I’ve read it’s so people don’t steal the picture. And I’ve also read that it helps the camera focus on the line(s). Not sure how true either are 🤷🏼‍♀️
