So i gave birth to a beautiful little boy 3 weeks ago💙 Im just really tired but other than that my body feels fine. I did have a small tear but nothing big. And i feel like my body is physically fine and ready for sex again. I know some of you all think its too soon (no judging please) but i honestly feel better and i just want to be with my husband so bad. 
I feel embarrassed calling my doctor cause i feel like he might think im a horn dog and be judging me. He’s nice but i still feel awkward calling and asking if i can have sex so soon 😓

How you feel physically means nothing. There's still a large open wound in your uterus that could get infected if you have sex before it's fully healed

Wait til your 6w appt & your dr gives you clearance. It has nothing to do with feeling. The placenta leaves a huge wound inside & sex puts you at greater risk for an infection. Find other ways to have fun that don’t involve penetration

I waited the full 6 weeks because I didnt want the risk of a nasty infection. That was the recommendation so thats what I did. You should talk to your doctor see if maybe you can move your postpartum appointment up so you can be clearned sooner.

You may feel fine but you may also have a uterus that isn't fully healed up. It's important to wait until you are medically cleared to put anything up the vagina. You can still do things and orgasm, but no prenatrative sex unless you want to risk a nasty infection.
It's like taking antibiotics, you HAVE to take the entire 7day bottle despite feeling better at 3days or else it will come back and with a vengeance.

The average time is 6 weeks and that's for good reasons. There are other ways to be intimate without penetrative sex. Give your body time to heal or you risk other more serious complications
