Mine is up every 2/3 hours to nurse/comfort. Sometimes even less. While it is very demanding and I’m exhausted, I do not plan on sleep training. I don’t believe in it.

I usually do, but i am completely exhausted, so thinking of ways to wean her. Last night we gave her a bottle when she woke up around 10pm, and it worked because I believe at that time she was truly hungry. Then she fell asleep again around 11 and I managed to not nurse again until 4. She woke up at 2 and someone the pacifier worked this time. Most times it does not and she gets so frustrated and so angry that she cries a lot. Since I don’t want her fully awake and overtired, I nurse. She takes it for like 30 seconds and falls asleep. So most of the times she’s awake, it’s just comfort nursing that she needs to sleep because she can’t sleep independently.

Do you nurse your baby everytime they wake up? I don’t know if my baby is truly hungry or he’s just used to it

We had a good sleep foundation before the 4 month regression, and since then we’ve just never recovered. Some nights are better than others. She’s almost 5.5 months now and I think I’m going to try a sleep training method around 6 months if she’s still wonky. I normally don’t believe in sleep training but we got sloppy during her 4 month regression so I feel like we set up bad habits that we need to break gently.100% no judgement, if she was waking up 5-6 times a night I would 100% sleep train without a doubt. If you can afford it I’d recommend Taking Cara Babies... I can’t speak for other programs but she does a good job troubleshooting sleep issues. For example, is baby waking up that many times because they’re genuinely hungry? If so then baby has gotten used to getting the bulk of their calories during the night instead of the day, so they need flipped, ect. I did her first 5 month bundle and loved it.

My lb wakes up several Times in the night either for his dummy back or for a cuddle. He’s always needed rocking to sleep or little pats on his tummy. I’m going to do some sleep training once he turns 6 months but I won’t be doing the cry it out method.

It doesnt. If you do some research, there’s quite a few methods that don’t include any crying out.

My LO is 5.5 and now sleeps through the night but will cry maybe once & I go put soother in & that usually does the trickI started by letting her cry for only 5 min at a time and then I go in to help. Now she doesn’t even cry anymore really

Depends on teething most nights it’s 2/3 hours sometimes hourly No I will never sleep trajn I personally hate it and don’t agree with it especially after training in childcare and childhood development. Every child is different

Yeah , they eventually developed REM sleep , they eventually become less hungry and more full from what they are having during the day. It won’t last forever the first year is hard for most parents but just think it’s only a year it’s not a long time and I don’t know any adults who sleep through the whole night tbh xx

Do you think they will grow out of it eventually ? My baby has been waking up almost every hour for the past month and i don’t want to do the cry out method . Not sure what i can do to help him connect his sleep cycles
