Induction for big baby?

I had a growth scan yesterday at 32 weeks and my baby is est to weigh 5lbs 2oz! I have another growth scan at 36 weeks. Do they induce in the UK if ur having a big baby? I see women in other groups posting about it but I know a lot are in America and they do things differently over there so curious to know about UK

Not for me my daughter measured big they offered a c section I declined I went into labour naturally and struggled to get her out was terrible

I've got gestational diabetes and on metformin and insulin to help control it (2nd pregnancy). The baby is measuring massive so I've got a planned c section booked for 38 weeks. They also offered induction at 38 weeks.
With my first I was on metformin to control the diabetes and the baby wasn't measuring big but they induced me at 39 weeks. Ended up having an emergency c section.

Yes they do but honestly the growth scans are soo inaccurate, they induced my sister because they thought my nephew was going to be big but he wasn't he was actually on the small side.

No my boy was 9lbs 2oz and they didn't. Also my daughter was much smaller 7lbs and the birth wasn't easier or less painful. Also I needed to get stitched with her but not with him, the size of the baby doesn't make a change.

I don’t think so. My friends baby was 10lbs and she did it normally.
