Short-term disability after birth
My work does not offer maternity leave but offers the FMLA, which is 12 weeks of unpaid leave. I was told to sign up for Short-term disability to collect a portion of my salary on a weekly basis. After looking into it, it seems like I will only get two weeks paid from short term disability.
I don’t know if I’m reading this wrong and would love to hear from other moms who had to use short term disability.
Any advice would help!
