Can drinking too much water give False negative?

Question

I took 3 home pregnancy tests that all showed positive tests! Today I went to a general doctor to confirm with blood test.  He surprised me by asking to do a urine test. I had already drank SO MUCH WATER this morning and my urine was clear. The test came up as Negative. I was traumatized and so upset.  Could this have been a false negative Bc my urine was so diluted from drinking a lot of water? I came home later and took couple pregnancy tests. Showed faint pink lines. So that's a positive right?

UPDATE:

I took the same pregnancy test from the doctor yesterday (nurse sent me home with one) this morning and I got a BFP!!!! I took two more different brands and all BFP!! So I was right yesterday, my urine was all diluted from the water I drank so my test came out to be a false negative at the doctors office.  So relieved that I got a positive today. Now just waiting for the blood test result. I trust everything will be great ❤️👶🏽🙏🏻💕

Water won't change it. I drink nothing but water.

They say to use first morning urine early on because drinks can dilute your urine so it's possible depending how early along you are. When I first got pregnant I got positives in the morning and negative or very faint lines in the evening for a week or so. Wait a few days then retreat to see if your lines darken

When I found out I took 4 different test all faint positives,  went to regular doctor and she did her own it came back negative I was so upset so sure I was pregnant.  Do I called my obgyn to see if he would do a blood test and he had me come in that day.  My levels were at 74! I was pregnant.  It may be that you are using a more sensitive test then the doctors. My doctor had to of been using a test that needed 100 or more hcg my gone test were sensitive to 25. I'm now 35 weeks

It's best to take the tests in the morning when you first wake up so your urine is more potent. I'd wait probably another week before going back to the doctors. Same thing happened to me. I was having morning sickness starting at 3 weeks and went in for it at 4 weeks to get a test done and they didn't catch anything, after not getting my period for 5 days after my missed period, I finally got a positive. The problem was I was drinking too many fluids and hormone wasn't detectable.

Drinking water won't change your hormone levels, which is what is tested through a pregnancy test!! You could drink gallons and gallons of water the test would still be the same if you were to drink a glass
