Stethoscope?

So I am a MA n have a rlly gud stethoscope n I just tried listening to the baby's heart beat n culdent find it, besides mine Lolz has anyone ever tried this n it worked? Lolz I'm 21w3d

Yes you can I use mine all the time but you have to use the bell and push it deep. It's extremely fast and very noticeable but you have to have the room really quite or it will get drowned out by back ground noise. It's just takes a while to actually find it.

You won't find babies heart with a stethoscope, it's either Doppler or Pinards

Yes!  I bought a fetal stethoscope from Amazon ($13) and it works!  It takes practice and patience and you need to be in a quiet room since this is not a Doppler and does not amplify sound but it works and is completely save to use since it doesn't involve sound waves like a Doppler uses.  I am almost 23 weeks along, so I think you probably need to be at least 20 weeks to hear the heartbeat.
