4/5 months Putting Self to Sleep?

Curious! My 4 month old is always rocked or nursed to sleep for naps and bed time, we’ve tried drowsy but awake many times since she was first born and it only sleeps to wake her up more.

We put him in his marshmallow sleep suit, kiss him and say good night. He puts himself to sleep by 8:20 and then I don’t see him again until 7:30 when I wake him up. 🙌🏼

My baby gets her last bottle at 11:30pm (we have to feed every 3 hours except for 2:30am) and then we put her in her sweetpea swaddle and she’s out until about 5:30amish and we feed her and put her back in her sleep sack swaddle and she’s out again til 8:30am. Doesn’t fully wake up for the day until 11am. She takes about 10 minutes of being in the swaddle before she’s out. We also put on some soft lullabies and a start projector that spins so that lulls her to sleep

It‘s very natural if baby wants to be rocked or nursed to sleep. They need that feeling of being loved and cared for. Nothing wrong with that.

We feed mine a bottle before bed and he goes to sleep. We’ve been doing this since he was 3 months old and he will be 5 months on Sunday. He sleeps thru the night too. We are super lucky ❤️

The past 4 or so nights he has started putting himself to sleep for bedtime, naps he will either fight to stay awake still or willingly drop off but only when I’m holding him

Right now I’m rocking to sleep every night and for naps but I plan on sleep training next month so hopefully that changes.

Lately, my husband gives a bottle while I get our 4 year old to sleep. Then when I come in I change his diaper and put him in the magic Merlin sleep suit. Then I lay him in the bassinet and then on the music that the bassinet plays. Sometimes he falls asleep and sometimes he cries. If he cries, I nurse back to sleep. If he falls asleep then I go right to sleep. He seems to actually sleep longer when he falls asleep on his own but not all the time. It changes constantly.
