Gasping for air?

My baby sounds like she's gasping for air. She doesn't seem to be in pain or uncomfortable and she breathes just fine through her nose, but the gasping noise is loud kind of like a squeal and it scares me. Is this a normal thing? She has her 4 month appointment on Monday. If I was extremely worried, I would go to the ER tonight but she seems fine.

Turns out that her noise is normal and I was just freaking out.

My son gasps every once in a while. He's not showing any signs of discomfort or pain so I'm not to worried about it. I just kinda assumed it was normal lol

Better to play it safe and get it checked out , croup or whopping cough come to mind ...

My first son had croup for the first time around this age and that is kind of what it sounded like. They always told me to look at his belly when he breathes to see if it looks like he's straining for air. If so, I would call the doctor exchange and let them know. They might have you go to the ER since baby is so tiny still. Hope everything is ok!
