Am I the only one?

Question

People keep saying enjoy this stage cause they grow up fast. Am I the only one that can't wait for to get out of the infant stage?! I honestly won't miss any part of it and sometimes it makes me feel like a bad mom. 😒

I do not enjoy the newborn stage at all

The newborn stage SUCKED the first time and almost made me not want more kids. This time, I LOVED the newborn stage but she slept well and breastfeeding was easy this time. I also know this is my last baby and she was in the NICU unexpectedly after birth (not as a preemie) while I ended up hospitalized for a week after birth and had to be forced away from her. I think it’s partially that experience that made me unable to dislike any part of her life. I love my son and would do anything for him unconditionally but the bond I had with my daughter when she was a newborn was completely different than when he was born. I had terrible PPD over breastfeeding with him. I wish I could redo things with him because I would have not even tried and just enjoyed him. With my daughter, I went into it not ever planning to EBF but then she had a sugar issue that put her in the NICU and breast was her preferred way to eat so I did it and its been great.

My daughter is 12 weeks and it's already so much easier. I'm just waiting for leap 4 and the 4 month sleep regression to hit and mess up everything lol

Just wait. Before you know it, they're toddlers running away from you, getting into everything, screaming no, crying over the goofiest things 🤣 every stage comes with its perks and struggles. NB stage isn't for everyone, myself included. I know I shouldn't wish these days away but having a NB and toddler is tough. Lack of/interrupted sleep is hard lol.

This is my first, and I thought I would loooove him being a tiny baby but nope! It is the worst and I can’t wait for him to be a stubborn toddler. I have lots of experience with those and they are much easier in my opinion!

Me too! I enjoy the few minutes he goo goos and smiles, but aside from that, I don’t enjoy them being newborn. I can’t wait for him to be out this stage.

Im enjoying every moment. My baby is very alert and expressive already. He smiles a lot and coos. 
They really do grow up fast and will never be this small again. I have an almost 2 year old who is so independent and rowdy lol. I’m always like awww you were just so little.

I have definitely had the same thought. My SIL had her son in June and says she misses the newborn stage. I think she's crazy lol. Every week my son gets older it gets better. I love him to pieces but the first 8 weeks were painful.
