I’ve read the exact opposite where it says you shouldn’t pop it in your mouth because your mouth bacteria is worse and babies aren’t brushing their teeth/mouth obviously and your introducing bad bacteria.
But guess what... I pop that sucker in my mouth anyways 😂

I don't know if I am weird, but if it drops in our home, I don't clean it at all. If it droppes in a piblic place, outside or at someone eleses home, I run it under the water.

Personally if we are at home and it falls on the floor I don’t clean it off unless there’s some dog hair on it because I sweep and mop every other day I’m honestly not that worried about the floors having a bunch of germs on them. but my baby only uses them for naps and bedtime so I don’t have to worry about it falling out on a public ground or anything

Yes. I once dropped one when we were outside and not at home and my MIL told me she used to stick her kids’ in her mouth to clean them off if she did that. I’ve done it a few times. 
I didn’t necessarily know about the immune system thing but that makes sense.
