Hereditary???

So, I'm just curious, can pre-term births be hereditary?

My dr said no not at all...Everyone in my family was born early and I was born at 35wks. Currently 39weeks and not a lot going on right now as far as signs of labor😁

All the women in a coworkers family never carried full term and had premies. She went through all the women...mom, gma, great gma, all aunts and the daughters, all her sisters all of them. They were even at one point being studied by drs for hereditary connections via da markers and all.

Nope. Not much about labor and delivery is hereditary. I wish it was somewhat though bc my mom has labors that never went past 2 hours. But she also developed preE with me, so I guess I'm glad it's not.
