Ok I posted about the water bill being $500 one month and was advised on here to check a few things. I don’t own the house, I live with my parents but I did see the recent bill. It said for the month we used 38,148 gallons of water. I assumed it was for 30 days so it comes to 1,200 a day. I’ve been tracking how long I shower/bathe and for the past couple of months the shower will run for 20 mins on hot before it turns ice cold. So I wash my hair once a week if not 2 weeks. Of course toilet flushes and sink uses. I wash my clothes twice a month at most sometimes monthly. And I use disposable kitchen items. I shower every other day for 10 mins but sometimes I’ve gone 3 to 4 days between then.

My parents tho wash clothes almost everyday and use the dishwasher for their things. My dad works from home like me, so extra toilet and sink use for sure. But is that enough to really drive up the bill that much? They’ve never had the house pipes looked at since moving in 10 years ago so I feel it’s a leak, they think it’s my water usage
