i helped myself through a panic attack😀. i haven’t had one in almost a year(i was hopeful that i wouldn’t have another one) but this time i knew how to try to calm myself instead of freaking out more because i didn’t know how to help myself and i didn’t want to let other people see me having a panic attack. so yay, i can help myself or help other people, but fuck, i’m still getting them.
tips: breath in through your nose for 4, breathe out your mouth for 4(or for 10 if you can manage), hydrate, avoid moving if you’re too lightheaded so you don’t pass out, weightless by marconi union is supposed to help slow your heart rate(you can find 30 minute loops on youtube), mush an ice pack or something warm to bring feeling back to your hands, and if you can: dunk your face in ice water!! it confuses your brain and can stop a panic attack(every one i’ve heard who has tried it, says it worked, but don’t quote me on that, because i myself have never had ice available)
do as many of these as you can, and it should help. (and if you have more tips, share em!)
