My son has been in nicu for 15 days. He initially went in for monitoring because he was born early at 34+6 due to my stress, diabetes, preeclampsia, and PPROM.

He’s had to overcome feeding issues, jaundice, needing a cpap to having brachy episodes. Today he was suppose to be discharged. We had passed the car seat test and all that was left was getting him circumcised until I was notified he had a brachy episode last night so now he has to stay an additional 5 more days.

I feel so lost and defeated. I just want my son home and this is such a setback. This is actually chipping away at my maternity leave. Guess I’m just looking to vent and get some encouragement.

My daughter was a preemie but her journey wasn’t like this.
