Insensitive to my mental health
So, I was diagnosed with major depression and anxiety in 2015 after a suicide attempt. Since then, I’ve had suicidal thoughts once in 2017, but didn’t go through with. I had my first child in 2018. I haven’t had any thoughts of even harming myself. I am currently pregnant, my depression and anxiety has come back. My significant other and I are still pretty new. He fell in love with the (me) before I got depressed again. Now that I’m pregnant, he says I did a complete turn around and I’m only acting like this because I’m pregnant. I’ve been struggling at work. I came in contact with COVID, although I didn’t have it, I had to quarantine. This was a major relief because I got some time to rest. But my boyfriend doesn’t understand and is very insensitive about my mood and me having no energy, and not having a positive outlook on things.
I’ve tried to educate him about depression and mental health. He says he understands, but I find myself arguing with him so much because he wants me to “normal” or myself again. I feel like he is rushing my healing process and it makes me very angry and overwhelmed with him.
Any advice for me???
