So basically long story short I went to my 39 week appt today and I’m still very much not ready. Like still closed and no contractions, and a little high blood pressure but nothing crazy. My baby was measuring over 7 lbs at 37 weeks so my doctor doesn’t want me going to 41 weeks at all due to risk of her being 10/10.5lbs. So basically my choices now are to induce on Wednesday (my due date) or wait until my appt Thursday and see if there have been any changes. If not we will schedule an induction within 3 days of that appt. So in a way it seems like I’ll be getting induced anyways. I know that most FTM go over 41 weeks and that’s when spontaneous labor happens, but since I don’t have that luxury I see it as a “might as well do it now” thing. Plus the bigger she gets the more worried I’m getting she will be too big and I’ll end up needing a csection and I’m trying to avoid that if I can. I’m still holding out hope that she will come on her own regardless, but after today my confidence is low.
