Gender reveal

So. We find out on Thursday what we're having. And we are so excited! My mom however is being extremely controlling. She would probably rather find out before me if she could. My SO and I decided we do not want a gender reveal party, and she keeps shoving it down my throat. Even though I've told her multiple times what our wishes are.

So we decided we want to have lunch with my parents and tell them the news. And then have dinner with his parents. (It just works best this way with everyone's schedules.)

I told my mom this is the plan. And she's constantly coming up with these excuses as to why this won't work. I'm so frustrated and I don't want to be a jerk and just call her and tell her. But I don't know what else to do to get her to listen.
