We have been battling this for months. She’s been seen at urgent care, pediatrician, and allergist. All had different opinions about what this is (it’s not herpes or cold sores). I’ve asked for a referral to a dermatologist, so just waiting for her pediatrician to approve the referral. It flares up then goes away. But now it’s spreading more outward (cheeks and jaw line). She does wear a mask to school but she’s been doing that since August. So I thought maybe dermatitis from the mask?
