It’s been a long couple days. On Wednesday it was my normal doctor appointment where I did a nonstress test, ultrasound and then met with the doctor. My first blood pressure reading before my nonstress test was 151/90. After about 40 minutes of the non-stress test she passed and they re-took my blood pressure and it was 158/91. Ultrasound looked good she is estimated to be 6 lbs. 6 oz. Then met with the doctor. He was concerned with my blood pressure and wanted me to go get tested for preeclampsia. He took my step he passed and we did a Servic exam at my request. He found I was 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. He said her head was still a little high but it was a good start. From here as were things start to get crazy.

At my doctors office they have a lab right there so I went down and started texting my sister that they were worried I had preeclampsia and if I did they would induce me next week. I was a little freaked out even though I’ve been telling people I was ready hearing it could be next week really shook me. They drew my blood and then I went to do the urine test. When I Peed into the cup I realized that the P was bright red and I was bleeding very heavily. To the point were at soaked through my pants and was running down my legs. I freaked out and essentially ran out of the doctors office. I called my sister back to tell her what was going on and she convinced me that I should tell my doctor before I left. So I called them and they recommend I go over to labor and delivery. Once I get to labor and delivery I’m still bleeding so heavily that as I’m changing it’s dripping down my leg and on the floor. They get me in the bed and hooked up and find I’m having study two minute contractions and my blood pressure is still extremely high. After doing another cervical exam they believe that the blood is coming from a polyp that was disrupted during the cervical exam at my doctors office. They want to redo all the preeclampsia bloodwork since my blood pressures were still very high. The pre-limb blood work all came back negative but they still wanted to do the 24 hour urine test. So I was in for the duration. Throughout the night my blood pressure‘s have gone down I had some more intense contractions but those started to fade as well and by yesterday morning I thought I would be released after the 24 hour urine samples came back clear. well that is not what’s happening. The doctor came in at 8o’clock yesterday morning and still recommended that they start inducing me Friday night. I will be 37 weeks on Saturday. I was still having random high blood pressure results and so they felt I had at least hypertension and it was best to get baby out. Last night my 24 hour bloodwork to come back with protein in it so more evidence that we’re making the right decision to start induction tonight. They gave me a couple steroid shots to help make sure her babies lungs are ready to go. Hopefully tomorrow night I have a baby! Original due date was February 20!

Crazinesses thing, as I was leaving the office I made a joke that maybe I’d go right from my appointment to labor and deliver to have this baby! 😬 careful what you wish for!!
