{Some background Information}

At the end of August my roommate cut his hand open on the last day of work at his job. He cut straight through the nerve & needed to get surgery. He has not worked since August 20. He has healed significantly faster from his surgery - but has no motivation to find a job (even though he has been cleared to go back) and sleeps for days straight. I have compassion for him - with what he has been going through... but my husband & I are due any day now - and he’s (the roommate) has been acting like a child. He does not clean up after himself - owes rent & utilities for three months - and he has now started torturing my animals. My dog has anxiety & the other day he chased her around the living room with a box, causing her to pee on the floor (which he left - and told me to clean up because she belongs to my husband and I) this morning I woke up to my kitten with a knee pad tapped around her back, which was not only painful to cut off - but pulled off a significant amount of fur from her little body. He is 23 years old - does not bring up dishes - lets them get mouldy & then throws them out. (THEY ARE OUR DISHES) He doesn’t clean up the bathroom (which is on the main floor and used by more than just him) he gives me attitude if I ask him to clean up or bring up his dishes. As I said he owes us just shy of $2500 so he doesn’t have money to even find his own place, but I’m scared to bring my child into his environment. I’m not sure what to do.
