Should I report her?
Edit: I have since calmed down and realised reporting her would likely do nothing unless more people have also reported her. I was worried she would do it to someone else and maybe hurt someone's dog pulling it's mouth open how she had down to mine. My dog is old and has no front teeth so luckily couldn't hurt her with a bite but the way she was forcing her mouth open and shoving her hands down her throat scared me. Once we got home I ended up checking her jaw and mouth to make sure she wasn't hurt and thankfully she was fine (I've never seen someone try to give a dog water like that, she could have cupped her hands and offered water in her hands or even tipped it from the bottle instead of forcing it)
I wonder if by reporting her and she was homeless they would relocate her or take her to get help like they have previously done one suburb over to another homeless lady who was reported for her behavior.
I'm not sure what to do I took a 15 minute walk with my dog to the shops today (it's 22 degrees Celsius where I am right now so not hot or anything)
And was in the store for 5 minutes tops getting potatoes and pegs (literally 2 things that I knew where they were so I could quickly grab them pay and go)
When I came out of the store some old hag had her hands inside my dogs mouth trying to force water into her. Luckily I had my older dog with me who is friendly and wouldn't bite she just tried to get away (being tied up makes that hard for her)
I approached the lady and asked "excuse me what are you doing to my dog?" In a nice tone to which she started screaming at me that my dog is dehydrated and she's giving her water. I then asked her calmly to stop that my dog didn't like that she was doing and was not dehydrated at all. She started screaming at me again and I ended up losing my cool and yelling back to leave her alone and she will drink when we get home because she was fine. I did have to break social distancing rules to untie my dog and quickly pull her away as the lady went to hit me. I had to quickly leave as I could feel a panic attack starting and had it start as we ran off (I'm 24 weeks pregnant and don't deal well with confrontation so I was surprised I managed to yell back and hold off the panic attack until after we got away)
I'm not sure if I should report her for what she did or anything as she looked to be homeless and not quite all there. I'm now scared that If I need to go back to the shops for anything and decided to walk either of my dogs that she will be there again and do something or she might do the same to someone else's dog.
I got home and took a photo of my dog and you can clearly see she's not dehydrated just a happy dog waiting to get inside the house (she's 11 years and a happy panter)
I was even scared walking home that she might be following us and try to do something when we got away from people. I'm so glad it wasn't my younger dog who is a reactive dog and would have cowered away at first and possibly bitten her if she tried to force her mouth open (She can safely be tied up when at the stores as she cowers away from people when she can't see me unless they try to hurt her) she's usually muzzled outside stores as that tends to keep people away from her anyways.
