Looking for good coconut oil whipped body butter recipe

I’m looking for tried and reliable coconut oil whipped body butter recipes. I love using just coconut oil but sometimes it’s just too greasy. I’ve also tried “whipped” coconut oil but it wasn’t much better. I found 2 recipes on Pinterest that seemed promising but had its own problems. One was: 1/2 cup shea butter, 1/2 cup coco butter, 1/4 cup coconut oil. But the coco butter didn’t soften/melt well and the butter came out really chunky.

The other was: 1/2 cup Shea butter, 1/2 cup coconut oil. This one came out a little better, but there’s still some noticeable Shea chunks and it’s still fairly greasy.

I love the idea of having a body butter that is as natural as you can get and doesn’t have a lot of chemicals in it. These recipes really do seem promising bc I’m using raw organic coco and Shea butter and also organic coconut oil. But I can’t seem to get them to turn out quite right. Does anyone have a recipe they can recommend?

I’ve never had chunks. Try melting all the butters and oil completely.... I put the ingredients in a steel bowl then place the bowl in boiling water until everything liquifies. Next, I stick the bowl in the freezer for 15ish minutes (just until the butters/oil form a thin solid layer at the top), add a couple of drops of essential oil and use an electric wisk (high) until the mixture looks fluffy

Can you heat them up a little so they incorporate better?

That’s what I did originally. It said to melt them all down, and mix them with an electric mixer for a minute or 2. Let sit until they solidify again, and then mix again for 5-7mins. The coco butter never really melted down so there are a lot of bigger, hard chunks. The Shea melted better but there are still small little chunks of that as well.

In my experience, it comes out a little chunky mixing those things- beeswax has helped if making chapstick, but, I don't mind the chunks personally. They melt on my skin

Ok that’s good to know :) I thought I somehow managed to mess it up, or maybe didn’t have very good coco butter
