Crusty dry scalp? 3 month old

My son is 3 months and as he’s laying down im looking at this hair and I notice the top of his head is crusty. The sides aren’t though. First time Ive noticed this. What can I do to get rid of it?! should I call his pediatrician??!

It’s cradle cap, it’s common both of mine had it. They say to put oil on the babies head and you can get shampoos for it but it doesn’t usually actually affect the baby much just doesn’t look very nice xx

Definitely just cradle cap!
Nothing to worry about! Just give them a bath every day and use shampoo. It should go away soon!
Side note, so much hair!! My girl is going bald! Lol

My son is 3 months and has the same thing. We just massage his hair while washing really well and comb it out.

Cradle cap. I used baby oil and let it sit for about 15 mins then I took them a bath and washed off w shampoo. I then took a small comb and just kept brushing ehr hair back & forth and it fell off! Did it w my both my babies and w one time it all fell off and never came back

Everyone is saying it lol but yes it’s cradle cap. I tried shampoos to get it off my son, but my best results were from coconut oil, let it sit all night, and comb hair in the morning. I also used baby oil, that one I wouldn’t let sit too long maybe 10-15 min then comb baby’s hair.
