So she’s been with her BF for like 6-7 years. She is now 29 and he is 27. They’ve lived together for like a year.

She has been very vocal with him (and me) that she needs him to propose very soon as she is turning 30 in a few months and she feels like 6-7 years relationship is plenty of time to know if he wants to get engaged. She also would want a baby soon.

He is not doing anything... he keeps saying yeah yeah and that she keeps comparing herself to others and she needs to chill.

Ive had many conversations with him trying to understand what he’s waiting for and he’s given me nothing, I honestly dont think he wants to.

All he does is waste his money on drugs and stuff. Then He tells her he doesn’t have money for a ring and wedding. But on the other hand, he’s actually a super nice guy and is very good to her. I like him a lot!

Anyways, she always calls me crying when theres an engagement or pregnancy announcement and I really have no idea what to say anymore.... I hate saying “you need to leave him” cause she wont and then ill look like the bitch friend!

What would you guys say to your friend? Or any advice I can give her?

Update: by drugs I mean weed which is legal here so he’s not a meth head lol!
