My boyfriend plays his Xbox every night. He actually plays any chance he gets. Once in a while he’ll say “well I have to go do the boyfriend thing. I’ll be back in a couple hours”. If I say anything about him playing the Xbox every night he will say “well it keeps me out of the streets and home” or “at least I’m not in the streets”. Okay, I have no problem with you playing the Xbox but at least acknowledge your relationship without making it seem like you’re treating it like a chore. I work all day, come home and you want to be on the Xbox. Sometimes will even request dinner on his lap while he plays the Xbox. Can I at least get dinner as a time where we can be together? Is that so much to ask? And then when we are sitting at the table together 9/10 times he is on his phone responding to text messages and answering phone calls. I never thought I could feel so lonely when in a relationship. I didn’t even feel this lonely when my ex was cheating on me and never home due to work/school. You’d think the fact that he’s seven years older than me would come with a different package than the “I’ll play Xbox all day and all night.” Deal.

Last night we were supposed to watch a movie together and he chose to play on the Xbox instead. His best friend will call him and say “oh let me guess. You have to eat dinner or you have to do the good boyfriend thing” and then there he is right back on the Xbox.

When he decided to play the Xbox instead of watching a movie he said “I’m tired. I’m going to play a round and we can just watch a movie tomorrow”. Okay. It’s tomorrow and you’re on the Xbox 🤣. I don’t know. This rant honestly makes no sense and is so random. I guess I just wanted to have somewhere to complain.
